CHARACTER
Name: Tavros Nitram
Canon: Homestuck
Timeline: Post the installation of his robo-legs.

Personality: Tavros, as worded by the wiki, is “just too sensitive to be a troll”. While he lacks the actual capability of decent trolling (and most of the time ends up being trolled himself!) he still tries pretty hard to phase the humans. He is ignorant to his own mockings and it’s even mentioned that he is incapable of truly hating anyone; even Vriska, the troll who seems to gain great entertainment from making his life miserable.

Being a troll of very low self-esteem, Tavros decided that rather than letting it conquer him, he would literally personify it. Being a new being in itself, Tavros’ self-esteem became none other than Rufio! Tavros takes the whole Rufio deal very seriously, and using a suggestion from Kanaya, imagines he talks to him periodically. Since Rufio is very dear to him, he does his best to make sure his self-esteem’s feelings are not hurt and he respects it.

When Tavros receives his new robo-legs from Equius (with the help of Kanaya), he feels like a whole new troll again. Being able to walk definitely means developing a huge amount of bogus confidence in return, and he feels like a confident troll is a non-apologetic troll. Suddenly he feels like he can say and do anything he wants even though deep down, Rufio is telling him that’s a no-go.

To top off his strange non-troll-like personality, Tavros has an extreme interest in fairies and fairy tales. His favorite story of all time is none other than Pupa Pan and back in his larping days he would even dress as his flying hero just to get more into character. He plays a game called fiduspawn which can easily be compared to human card games like Magic! The Gathering as well as the typical Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card games. He loves animals and is genuinely interested in troll poetry.

Third Person: The air feels unfamiliar, that’s the first thing he notices as he slowly regains consciousness from his slumber. He didn’t remember falling asleep and the sounds that came along with waking up were unfamiliar too. He groaned quietly, opening his eyes and blinking several times to get used to the lighting. Where was he? “Uhh...” He looked around. “I don’t think I’m on that meteor anymore.” He said to himself, looking puzzled.

The troll pulled himself to his feet, taking a moment to adjust to the sensation that was walking again. He’d only just received these legs, but they were surprisingly easy to control. That was, without staircases, of course. He glanced downward and shifted his weight from foot to foot and then looked about the train. Something was compelling him to get off, and as unsure as he was, he had a feeling it was just Rufio ushering him forward. He did that sometimes, to boost his confidence, you know?

With no further ado, Tavros walked toward the exit of the train. Wow, he really wasn’t prepared for this sudden locomotive ride. He didn’t bring any of his things with him. Where did he even plan on travelling to, anyway? Wherever it was, he sure hoped it wasn’t too intense for him. Obviously he could handle it with this new self esteem and all, but still … He disembarked the train and took his first step in this new area.

“I really don’t think I’m on that meteor anymore.” He said, nervously. He put his hands in his shirt’s pockets out of small habit and realized there was something in there. He pulled it out; a pocket watch? Since when had he had that? He stared at it, brow furrowed.

“Can anybody tell me what’s going on? Because this is getting stranger by the second.” He said to himself and then looked forward at the city that stood before him.
